Introduction
Praise belongs to ALLÂH the Lord of the Universe. We praise Him for that with which He has blessed us, that He has enabled us, Great and Glorious is He, the Lord of the worlds, to undertake this work by which we hope for nothing but the pleasure of Allah and to render this amongst the actions acceptable to Him by His Will.
Islam, the root of which is Silm and Salam, which means peace. Salam may also mean greeting one another with peace. One of the beautiful names of God is that He is the Peace. It means more than that: submission to the One God, and to live in peace with the Creator, within one's self, with other people and with the environment. Thus, Islam is a total system of living. A Muslim is supposed to live in peace and harmony with all these segments; hence, a Muslim is any person anywhere in the world whose obedience, allegiance, and loyalty are to God, the Lord of the Universe.
Islam, urges people to read and learn on every occasion. The first revelation in to Muhammad showed how much Islam cares about knowledge. "Read, in the name of your Lord, Who created." Qur'an [96:1].
The verses of the Qur'an command, advise, warn, and encourage people to observe the phenomena of nature, the succession of day and night, the movements of stars, the sun, moon, and other heavenly bodies. Muslims were urged to look into everything in the universe, to travel, investigate, explore and understand them, the better to appreciate and be thankful for all the wonders and beauty of God's creations.
