Introduction
Social Solidarity refers to the integration, and degree and type of integration, shown by a community members. It refers to the ties in a society - social relations - that bind people to one another. It is based around kinship and shared values where community members cooperate between them in effective ways, whether individuals or groups, on undertaking positive situations as of the care of orphans, sick people, widows, and other services, in propelling from deep feeling originated from the Islamic faith, so that the individual lives in the warranty of the group, and the group continually assists individuals, where all cooperate and join forces to creating better cooperative and growing community, and pushing the harm from individuals.![]()

Community Meeting News
The KC Muslims Social Solidarity Program community lecture was held on Saturday March 7, 2009 evening, where the program was presented to the KC community members. Click on the following link to see the presentation.
KC Muslims Social Solidarity program provides temporary support to the most critical conditions in Kansas City such as:

At ICK, we provide the following temporary support types:
1) Moral - 2) Knowledge or Education - 3) Financial - 4) Logistics or Transportations - 5) Community Services - 6) Volunteer Work - 7) Sport Activities
The medina community services project has merged with the ICK Social Solidarity Program! And we are looking for dedicated volunteers who are interested in helping out the Muslim community of Kansas City and best of all earning reward from Allah (swt)!
Please let us know which of the following committees you can help out with:
1) Cooking Committee: Buy and cook to provide food for various occasions (family of the deceased, families with members having surgeries,etc) and/or deliver the food to the family.
2) Daycare Committee: Supervise children at various islamic events (lectures/workshops)
3) Teaching/Tutoring Committee: Provide Academic assistance to adults and children (students whose families cannot afford to pay for tutors or acquire any other academic professional help, new immigrant adults and children who are unable to speak proper english)
4) Career Counseling Committee: Provide help (shadowing experience, academic advice) to students pursuing careers such as Medicine, Dentistry, pharmacy, engineering etc.
5) Masajid Cleaning Committee: Responsible for cleaning (dusting, vacuuming and organizing) the masjid, working within a group once a month.
6) Fundraising Committee: Organize numerous fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for the organization as needed and make announcements occasionaly at events and Jummah prayers.
7) Jail/court/Shelter Committee: Provide assistance with translation and distribute Quran and other islamic materials as needed.
8) New Immigrant Support Commitee: Help a new immigrant family adapt to the culture and provide additional help as needed.
